Video: Honda NSX GT Concept on Suzuka Circuit
The Honda NSX Concept-GT has been unveiled in Japan, previewing the brand’s challenger for the 2014 Super GT racing series.
Destined to tackle the GT500 class of the domestic racing series, the Honda NSX Concept-GT was revealed at the Suzuka Circuit ahead of this weekend’s fifth round of the 2013 season.
A dedicated racing machine based on the NSX concept seen at the 2012 Detroit auto show, Honda says the Concept-GT complies with 2014 GT500 regulations by being powered by a mid-mounted turbocharged 2.0-litre direct-injection four-cylinder engine equipped with a hybrid system.
Honda NSX Concept-GT
Earlier this month, a prototype of the new-generation NSX appeared on track at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio, giving us our first opportunity to hear the new Japanese supercar.
Production of the Honda NSX, badged as an Acura in North America, is set to start at the newly established Performance Manufacturing Centre in Marysville, Ohio in 2015.

A Behind the Scenes Look at Manufacturing a Viper
When I was a kid Dodge Viper was my favorite car.
I love that car because it was so different, it had a really stupid 8.0 engine that was producing around 450hp with one camshaft that was making the most crazy sound possible, it looked like nothing other. It wasn't the best car, but it is still a car with a soul!
...And i still love it. This video is for every one that shares that stupid sentiment!

Video Interview: Fernando Alonso Drives a Ferrari F12 at Nordschleife
This unique interview with Fernando Alonso, for the German TV channel RTL, filmed in an even more unique studio... a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, drived by Alonso around Nurburgring Nordschleife!
Doing interviews is probably not a driver's favourite pastime, but when it involves grabbing a steering wheel and putting the pedal to the metal to unleash the sort of power which is almost on a par with that of a Formula 1 car, then this actually becomes a pleasure, even if it involves twenty minutes being filmed by German TV
Most Expensive Car Ever Auctioned: Juan Manuel Fangio's Mercedes W196 Sells For Record $29.6 Million
Fangio's Mercedes W196R Silver Arrow sells for $29.6 million
A classic Mercedes-Benz W196race car driven by Formula 1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio sold for 19.6 million pounds ($29.6 million) at auction in England on Friday, setting a record for the most expensive car ever sold at auction.
The 1954 Mercedes-Benz W196 single-seater was driven by the five-time world champion racer when he clinched his second title in 1954. The Argentine drove the car to victories in the 1954 German and Swiss Grand Prix races.
Robert Brooks, chairman of Bonhams auctioneers, which handled the deal, called the car the most important historic Grand Prix racing car ever offered for sale.
The auction house said the steel-colored car is in a "remarkably unspoiled" condition and that its parts are believed to be complete and workable after proper preparation.
It was sold to a private buyer over the telephone at a classic cars auction in southern England's Goodwood. The price included the buyer's premium.
A 1965 Ferrari 330GT, first owned by John Lennon, fetched 359,900 pounds ($543,887) at the same auction.

Video: New Jaguar Project 7 debut...
New Jaguar Project 7 inspired by Jag's D-Type
Jaguar's Project 7 concept had make its dynamic debut at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed on 12th July. Project 7 is a brand new design study based on Jaguar's acclaimed F-TYPE - its all-new, two-seater, convertible sports car. Powered by a 550PS version of Jaguar's 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 engine, Project 7 can hit 60mph in 4.1 seconds, and a limited top speed of 186mph. This short film shows Project 7 complete its final shakedown run before Goodwood.
Project 7's name acknowledges Jaguar's winning of Le Mans seven times between 1951-1990 -- a record for a British manufacturer -- and its blue paintwork is reminiscent of the victorious Jaguar D-types of 1956/1957. If you look carefully, you may even see a D-type in the film...

Video: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX MR 870Ps@11000rpm
8.000rpm is something not many road cars can do, especially not turbocharged ones.
9.000rpm is something even fewer cars can achieve. Notable mentions are high strung VTEC engines and the manically rotating Wankels.
10,000rpm you usually only see on YouTube videos.
What about a street car revving to 11.000rpm and with every gear shift comes the distinctive whistle of a blow off valve? We here at Speednation.tv have only witnessed that with Extreme Tuners Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The best part was, we got to ride shotgun while it was doing it!

Video: Porsche 911 RS 2011 by DP Motorsport
With 2.66 kg/hp this white -wide 964 Porsche 911 is much more than you expect
DP Motorsport has been tuning Porsche Cars for about 30 years, they really know what they are doing. This 964 model Porsche 911 has been heavily modified by the tuner, to a weight just over 1900 lbs (870kg). It sports a wide body upgrade, and carbon fiber everything.
This white 911 with a 3.6 litre engine from a 993 and the wide dp11 RS 2011 bodykit made completely from carbon, including front bumper and hood, fenders, lightweight doors, rear fender flares, rear bumper and rear spoiler.
Alongside the green heated windscreen, a set of green-toned Plexiglas windows, as well as lightweight lamp lenses, were installed for the sake of weight saving. Reduced-weight tail light lamp holders, as well as air conditioner cover and underride protection from carbon, help chop the weight down to the desired figure. The carbon roof panel has been manufactured using the sandwich vacuum technique, and both hoods are equipped with quick release fasteners.
The output is 326hp. The engine breathes through two PMO carburettors with 50mm throats, with spark provided by an electronically governed twin-plug distributor system. Power is dispensed through a G50 five-speed gearbox with a limited-slip differential.
As for the interior, the dp 935 bucket seats, the light carbon dashboard, a special knee bar set and the raised central tunnel catch the eye at first glance. In contrast to the body colour, the interior is dominated by black Alcantra. A welded safety cage, a varnished sports steering wheel with Porsche horn button, a lid instead of the clock and a carbon underbody are impossible to overlook.
Finally, such specials are featured as a dp Clubsporttank with the capacity of 70 litres, a 25-amp gel battery starter, a smaller windshield cleaning liquid tank, light electric interior airing system, a middle oil cooler with front hood ventilation, as well as – how could it have been otherwise? – a brake cooling housing made of carbon.
All these modifications ultimately result in bringing the unladen weight of this 911 down to 870 kg (without fuel), the series standard being 1,080 to 1,335 kg depending on the type and equipment.
Wheels size 9’ x 15’ and 13’ x 15’ by Fuchs coupled with 225/50-15 and 345/35-15 tires represent an adequate link between the vehicle and the road. Apart from the dp coilovers, adjustable stabilizers, as well as head bearing, the spring plates and rear-axle independent arms with Uniball bushings are definitely worth a mention. A braking system originating from a 964 model and adjusted for the 911-G-Modell provides appropriate deceleration.
